If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Created by Duke University, the Rice Diet was created in order to help those with hypertension, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. The diet is not a typical diet and cannot be followed from the comfort of your home.
The Rice Diet is medically supervised that is only administered by doctors and nutritionists. Only doctors and nutrition experts that work in a place called Rice House in North Carolina are able to provide you with the needed items for the diet.
Many overweight people from all over the world save up money and make time to visit the Rice Diet Center. The center offers many health classes and workshops. The visitors are also put under the watch of nutrition experts. Usually, visitors stay for 4-8 weeks.
Phase 2 includes vegetables, beans and other carbohydrates, in addition to grains and fruit. You can have fish once in a week. Meals can also be taken. Vegetarian eating habits are prescribed until you attain your goals. Non-fat dairy products, fish and lean meats can be used depending upon one?s physical condition. The rice diet food list for phase 2 includes fruits, dairy, vegetables and legumes, and starch (controlled).
The second phase of the diet allows dieters to add fish, beans, vegetables, and other types of carbs to their own menu. The Rice Diet program is best suited for those who are extremely overweight and have been struggling with obesity since childhood or for a few years. It is also for people who need to lose a lot of weight, not just a few pounds. The diet is not for everyone as it is also very costly.

Master Cleanse: Does The Master Cleanse Really Work?
Does The Master Cleanse Really Work?…..This has been a question that many have asked. Many are still waiting on the answer, and this article will do just that. Over the years the Master Cleanse has been called The Master Cleanser, The Lemonade Diet, The Master Cleanse Diet and most recently the Beyonce Knowles Diet.
This is also the diet that singer and actress Beyonce Knowles and many other Hollywood celebrities joined by Knowles use when they want to prepare for a special movie role to lose weight.
The Master Cleanse has been mistaken for a weight loss diet only which is wrong. The Master Cleanse is a Full Body Cleaning. It cleans toxins from your entire body.
That is exactly what it is, a Total Body Cleaning process that should be done for a limited time only. The Master Cleanse has gotten a lot of attention over the last couple of years or so.
Many argue that the Master Cleanse makes you very hungry where you are not getting enough nutrients, it gives you mood swings while you are on it because you are not getting enough protein, which can be hazardous to your health.
I am here to help you gain an understanding of what the Master Cleanse will do for you. For 12 years I have done the Master Cleanse and have had no problems. It cleans your entire body and during the process you will lose weight because of the waste that your body is getting rid of. Caution for those of you that think this is a weight loss program. It cleans your body and as a result some of the weight comes off.
When you do the Master Cleanse, the goal that you should have in your mind is cleansing. Cleaning your blood, getting rid of waste materials from your body may cause cancer if left to sit for longer time periods. Think about when you take your car to a car wash that does inside and outside cleaning. That is what the Master Cleanse does to your body.
The Master Cleanse begins the cleaning process at the colon and moves through the rest of the body as the process continues. The colon is an important place to begin cleansing since colon cancer has been rated as one of the deadly diseases where 1 out of 3 Americans are diagnosed with colon cancer each year.
Because there are so many diseases that attack people, before attempting the Master Cleanse your goal should be to clean your entire body which will result in a healthy body.
Once you end the Master Cleanse you will notice some weight loss. That weight loss is the result of waste that you were carrying around that made you tired and sluggish before you did the Master Cleanse.
Before going on a weight loss program the Master Cleanse is ideal to do first because it prepares you for the weight loss program and guarantees your success. The Master Cleanse gets rid of waste from your body where you have a clean body moving forward.
Your eating habits will change after you do the Master Cleanse. If you have the mindset going into the Master Cleanse that you are cleaning your body, then you should be able to get through it.
For those of you who asked the initial question Does The Master Cleanse Work? Yes; The Master Cleanse Works.

Uncovering the Six Biggest Myths About Weight Loss
While people have been looking for weight loss ideas, many have fallen victim to inaccurate data that is so prevalent in the industry. While people have been looking for weight loss ideas, many have fallen victim to inaccurate data that is so prevalent in the industry. Let’s consider a number of the most well-known myths out there about this industry.
Myth #1: Avoid carbohydrates. This is perpetuated by the most famous high protein diets-the Atkins diet, South beach and a whole lot of other popular diets that promotes a diet rich in protein and low in carbohydrates. While such diets can produce significant weight loss in a short amount of time, the results are hardly long lasting and as soon as you start eating normally again, the weight comes plummeting back, even more than before!
Myth # 2: Genetics is the most important Factor. If you have obese parents and grandparents do not think that you will be obese, genetics only play a small role in determing your metabolism. The most important factor in determining your success in any weight loss program is the number of calories you eat and the amount of physical activity you get in a single day. One’s genetic make-up does affect his or her ability to burn calories; those with a slower metabolism can burn fewer calories than people who engage in physical activity and have a faster metabolism. Don’t say you have a slow metabolism, because there are many ways to accelerate it.
Myth # 3: Fat must be avoided. Some individuals are of the view that cutting down on fat is essential during a weight loss program. But the key to effective fat control is cutting down on the dangerous fats and increasing your intake of the good fat. Instead of eating unhealthy, like Trans fat and saturated fat, you should eat foods, such as fish, olive oil and avacados, that contain the healthy polyunsaturated fat and Omega-3 fats.
Myth # 4: Skipping meals. Skipping meals can lower your metabolism and makes it more difficult to lose weight. Regular meals are important, and what you need to do is to consume more of the foods which are good for you, which means more salads, vegetables, nuts and fruits. Snack on a large slice of juicy watermelon instead of reaching out for the next scoop of your favorite chocolate ice-cream.
Myth # 5: No white food. Regardless of myths, there are “white” foods that are healthy, what is important are the nutrients not the color, examples are pears, avocadoes, and nuts.
Myth # 6: Grapefruit Miracle. This is one myth that has no basis in reality. There is a group of individuals who are promoting grapefruit as a way to lose fat. In fact there is one small isolated research that states that there is a a magic fat-burning enzyme that can help you lose weight simply by consuming this fruit. However the validity of the claims is yet to be questioned and whether the citrus industry did play a role in funding those researches. Grapefruits are rich in lycopene-a good source of ingredients that can help provide nutrient and care for the cellular health-prevents cancer and heart diseases.
We have here presented to you some of the most common myths surrounding weight loss, some of which you may have heard of previously. Once you know the facts, your weight loss strategy is wide open for you, and a healthier lifestyle.

Stress Management with Massage Chair Therapy
It seems that in these modern times that stress is just part of the landscape. We seem to be under more pressure whether at home or a work. The major shift of stress seems to be from physical stress to mental stress. Our fore fathers were in much more under stress from physical dangers. We on the other hand, seem to be under much more mental stress. We react to both mental or physical stress in much the same way: the fight or flight reaction. Our source of stress has certainly changed, but not our reaction to it.
This reaction to stress causes the body to kick itself into high gear. Our heart rate is increased, the major organs shut down all but the most basic functions and adrenaline is pumped out to boost our energy. There is a major redirection of chemical reactions in the body to get it immediately ready for action. However, with many of the stresses we encounter there is no physical release to all this redirection of energy. This can be problematic since many toxin are the by product of these chemical reactions and these stay in the body.
You know when you have a big meeting, you have a nervous reaction which is similar to the fight or flight reaction. Part of your stress management is to redirect this nervous energy into helping you perform better in the meeting. This takes discipline and training. Many top athletes are able to channel this nervous energy into higher levels of performance. But again with athletic performance there is a physical release of this built up energy.
When we are under stress, our bodies are primed for taking physical action. When we take physical action, then we are releasing out the increased energy out our bodies physically. If we do not have a physical outlet, one excellent method is massage therapy. Massage therapy helps loosen up muscle tension, it releases toxins trapped in our muscle tissue and it helps us to mentally relax. Some massage treatments also can reverse the tension in the major organs via the trigger points in our hands and feet.
Massage chair recliners have many effective massage therapies with proven beneficial effects. Massage chairs come equipped with Shiatsu massage, Swedish massage, Deep Tissue and many others. Each of these massage treatments target specific areas and have different benefits. In general, they all help induce relaxation and help to ease aches and pains. Massage helps to remove toxins from the body and enhances circulation of the blood and lymph. Both the blood and lymph clean the body of toxins and other potentially harmful substances.
Massage therapy is a very effective tool to relieve and release stress in our lives. We may not be able to eliminate the causes of stress, but we can find effective tools to counteract its impact on us. Massage chairs offer tremendous convenience and access to regular massage therapy. They also have supplemental capabilities to enhance the massage experience. Some recliners have stretching capability for the shoulders and lower body. Some have music players to help your relax your mind and body. You can find some with heat that can be applied in specific areas. All of these features are designed to help your body totally relax.
If you are feeling stressed, then just imaging taking a quick 20 minute power massage. Relieve the build up of stress and anxiety. Release the tension in your neck, back and shoulders. Give your mind a chance to be free from the tunneling affects of a stressful situation. This can be a powerful stress management tool in the comfort and convenience of home to better manage your stress. Life becomes much more manageable with your own massage chair recliner.

Motivational and Motivational Speaking - Another 7 Useful Hints
The following article contains, what I think at least, useful tips about motivational and motivational speaking.
I struggled to find a reliable source myself, so I decided to collate some tips for you, along with other relevant Motivational Speaking information.
Stay current on the industry news that your goal falls in. Learn about current trends, company failures or successes, new ideas; whatever information you can find. For example, if you have decided to open a retail store and have a great idea and a real passion for your goal, read about that specific type of store, location, potential revenue, downfalls, everything. This information will be a part of your business plan and is crucial.
More than likely, you will reach various times when you do not have the appropriate expertise to accomplish something. This is the time collaboration andor networking is valuable. These relationships can help you answer questions, provide guidance, and provide the ongoing support and encouragement you will need.
Recognize and embrace the thought that each moment is perfect regardless of its outcome. Every time you hit on something that may appear too extreme, why not give it a shot and see if it will work. You will be surprised to see of there are other ways to get the task done in time. If you are not pleased with the outcome, decide to use that moment to learn from and make the appropriate shift.
You might think there is no correlation between complaining and success when in fact there is a connection. When you are spending time complaining about the obstacles you are facing, you are wasting so much time being negative that you are actually loosing chances to move forward. Instead of thinking of challenges as problems, think of them as opportunities.
As you make your way toward success, you will be challenged with big obstacles as well as small obstacles. Pick your battles wisely. While you need to resolve the small issues, do not dwell on them and lose precious time and energy when you should be focusing on the bigger picture. In other words, do not allow the menial things to clutter your mind and monopolize your time.
You will want to develop your potential to its fullest. The more efficient you can become the better job you will do. Be efficient with your time by not procrastinating and efficient with your effort by staying focused.
On occasion, reflect on what you have accomplished as well as your open milestones and ensure you are still heading in the right direction. Repositioning along the way to success is perfectly normal and to be expected. You may have been struggling with something specific. Rather than continue battling this issue, reflect on what has not been working, and reposition yourself so you do not have to keep battling the same things repeatedly.
7 hints and tips about motivational are more than enough, don’t you think?
Even though I have only shared 7 Motivational and Motivational Speaking tips with you, feel free to share this article with anyone who you may feel will benefit.

Shiatsu Massage Chairs Deliver Invigorating Sports Massages
When you think of massage, you think of an afternoon at the spa, being pampered with a mud bath, feeling the heat of the sauna, and rejuvenating your skin with fresh peels and wraps. But there’s another side-an increasing trend called sports therapy massage. Massage is a natural choice for warming up muscles prior to physical activity. Massage chairs are being built that can perform many sports related massages. Shiatsu massage chairs are assembling an arsenal of massage therapies into their chairs.
Athletes know the benefits of massage. Many athletes obtain sports massages to prepare their bodies for more strenuous exertion. These massages are more than just feeling good after the match. Today’s massage chair manufacturers are have many massage features specifically for both amateur and professional athletes.
Many doctors recommend sports therapy massage for their athletes before, during and after a game. Sports massage has been shown to minimize injury and speed recoveries from injuries. These sports therapies are used by professional athletes before, during and after competition. Athletes needs sports therapy massages to loosen tight muscles increase their flexibility. Additionally, these massages help to increase circulation which helps the body metabolize fuel faster, leading to greater bursts of energy and enhanced performance. Sports massages, quite simply can help reduce sports-related injuries such as sprains, fractures, spasms and pulled muscles.
Many of the high end massage chairs from Sanyo, Panasonic, and Omega have built in features specifically for athletes. These shiatsu massage chairs come with a variety of massage therapies including Reflexology, Swedish, Shiatsu, Acupressure and Deep Tissue massage. Sports therapy massage for athletes is as integral to a serious sport regimen as lifting weights. Massage increases fluid circulation, reduces pain, and speeds recovery after an injury.
Is your passion tennis, golf, basketball, or softball? Then you know it is important to warm up and stretch your muscles prior to playing. Although professional athletes have trainers and masseuses available to them, what is available for a Weekend Warrior? How about a shiatsu massage chair? Need to warm up, try the Omega Montage Premier. The Montage Premier massage chair has a lower body traction function. Omega uses an air system to hold the feet in the footrest. The footrest then raises to a horizontal position. The footrest is then lowered to 3 positions. As the footrest lowers to each position, it stretches out and elongates your muscles from the hips down. Proper warm up and stretching can help increase performance and also reduce the chances of injury.
Sport Massage Therapy combines both the Swedish and Shiatsu techniques. Swedish techniques use long, flowing strokes which enhances circulation and the flow of blood. Shiatsu stimulates the acupressure points while applying a gentle squeezing action to particular areas of the body. Shiatsu relaxes the muscles and relieves tension. Massage chair recliners use these techniques for the upper body and use an air compression system for the lower body. The air compression system gently squeezes, holds and releases the muscles of the lower body. These shiatsu chairs contain many strategically placed airbags. The Panasonic EP-3222 massage recliner uses an incredible 33 airbags built into both the seat and footrest to perform lower body massages.
If you are looking for a great way to get ready before your strenuous activity, these chairs can be a very practical alternative to getting a professional masseuse. Even sports like golf, which do not seem too strenuous, actually put significant stress on the body. In golf, for example, one swings using the muscles on one side of the body in a singular direction. This causes you to over-utilize some muscle groups and under-utilize other muscle groups. How many golfers complain about bad backs? Too many to count! That simple swinging motion done repetitively can cause muscle and tendon damage if you do not warm up and warm down properly. An invigorating shiatsu massage before and after golf will make you feel better and might even take a couple strokes off your game.
A shiatsu massage chair provides a thorough sports massage therapy. Getting a proper warm up for your muscles increases their flexibility, relieves tension and increases blood flow. A massage chair can be an integral part of your warm up. However, massage chairs are certainly not cheap, but then again, neither is being injured. A proper warm up can help to avoid injury. Is all this warming up really worth it because shiatsu massage chairs are not cheap. How much is that worth? If a massage chair can help reduce the risk of injury and enhancing your performance, then its invaluable. Whether you are a Weekend Warrior or a Professional Athlete, your most valuable player must just be your shiatsu massage chair recliner.

Money or Title? When to Give Out Promotion Incentives
The monetary incentive is very popular among rank and file employees that are in the lower income bracket because these are tax free rewards for a job well done. But these incentives don’t exactly work for employees and producers working further up the ladder, when the money they make is more than enough for them. When you encounter some of these that seem to lack motivation, your best solution is the promotion incentive.
A promotion incentive is so popular for these employees because they ensure that the recipients of this kind of incentive gets a sure chance at career development and improvement without leaving the company. This climb up the ladder is given to qualified employees because of new position openings or vacancies in higher positions.
Promotions may mean much more work, higher expectations and longer office hours but people usually want these kinds of incentives because it means that they have reached a point in their lives where they have the qualifications, effort and intelligence to make bigger decisions in the company. It also includes a bigger salary, which adds to its attractiveness.
There are many kinds of incentives in a company. A sound and solid in-house character assessment team is required to notice when it is suitable to dangle money in exchange for an improved performance and when it is time that the deserving tenured employee gets that much needed promotion. Compensation here is just a matter of formality and propriety.
This kind of incentive is important to show the importance given to both the position and the new individual to man it. And nothing shows this better than the promotion incentive system.

Dog Allergies - How To Manage!
American households, according to statistics, show that 60-70% include at least one dog or cat. The numbers also prove that up to 10% of the population suffers from some sort of allergy to some type of animal.
The most common culprit to animal allergies is the cat, but running second is the dog. Because dog allergies are so common, there is plenty of information available to show how to treat and manage an allergic reaction you may have to your pet.
If your reaction is not severe and if you don’t have any other complications, such as asthma, you can successfully manage your allergic condition and enjoy days without any symptoms.
Identifying a Dog Allergy
If you suspect that you or your family member may have an allergy to the family pet, the best way to know this for sure is to remove that person from the environment of the animal for at least a week or two.
By removing the animal an effective means is not always established. Because the pet dander can remain in the house up to six months after the animal is removed, this may not be the best test. If not ask your allergist, he can test you by doing an allergy test on you for dog allergies. This will include your family history and blood tests.
Treatment Options
Dog allergies usually come from allergens that are located within the dander and the saliva of the animal. These have the ability to cling to many surfaces, and live a long time. This makes it most difficult to rid a home of the allergens causing the dog allergies. Long after the animal is removed from the home, the dander is still present. It takes about six months to clean the environment.
First, keep your pet out of your bedroom. Reducing this area of allergens can greatly reduce your symptoms from your dog allergies. Getting rid of carpet might be another method you would be willing to try. Bare floors are easier to mop and keep clean, thus reducing your chances of getting the allergies. A HEPA filter is also an effective way of keeping allergens at bay.
An air filter with a HEPA filter can also be an effective means of keeping allergens at bay in particular areas of your home. As long as it is ran at least four hours every day, is the recommendation. Dog allergies are common for many people, but they don’t have to control your life. With lifestyle changes and treatment options, you can enjoy life once again.
