Why waste all that money on expensive skin care products when you can knock up some great inexpensive innovative skincare products from stocks in your kitchen cupboard, like chocolate, honey, thick cream, and oatmeal! Just make sure your kids don’t eat the mixture before you have a chance to apply it!
Yes chocolate has become one of the latest beauty regime secrets, with chocolate massages becoming more and more popular at beauty salons. It is actually one of the better natural remedies for skin care as it both softens the skin and helps the release of serotonin to make you happy! By all accounts chocolate massages are both rejuvenating and relaxing. Just don’t be too tempted to buy a load of chocolate on the way home from the beauty salon!
Most people will tell you that chocolate is bad for you; well they don’t know what they are talking about. Okay if you eat to much of it you will get fat, but it has a more beneficial use for your skin. Now you can buy chocolate without the guilt. Cocoa is the ingredient you really want and the stronger the better, as cocoa contains a lot of antioxidants.
Now let’s take a look at how you use the chocolate in recipes, to create natural remedies for skin care. What you need to do is mix 4 tablespoons of cocoa (not strictly chocolate I know, but when mixed with the other bits, it is good enough to eat), 3 tablespoons of honey (the runny variety), 2 tablespoons of thick cream (which can be sour cream) and a level tablespoon of oatmeal, now you are ready.
Once the mixture is made, don’t eat all of it, you will need to massage it into and around your face. Then all you have to do is lay back and make sure that all pets, children and anything else with a tongue is nowhere around you for the next twenty minutes. After this time, if you are tempted to eat the mixture - don’t! Just wash it off with lukewarm water and feel the benefits.
This mixture will exfoliate because of the oatmeal, soothe and moisturize your face because of the chocolate, and the honey will unclog and deeply cleans the pores of your skin. Oh, and don’t forget that the cocoa in the chocolate, will help release the serotonin in your body, making you feel happier.
What sweet bliss! Finish your rest off with a warm water facial and witness the results that you have been paying hand over fist for, before falling to the temptation of chocolate. All in a good cause of course, and you’ll look good enough to eat! Now you are with the people in the know, on what else you can do with chocolate and other ingredients from your kitchen. You too can have plenty of your own homemade innovative skincare products.
It’s totally down to you, as to what you say to your friends, when they see you buying so much chocolate or cocoa powder, but why not let them in on the fact that you have found one of the best natural remedies for skin care. Or just let them look for their own innovative skincare recipes.
